According to the well-known boxing portal BoxRec, Anthony Joshua has been temporarily suspended from boxing by the British Boxing Commission. His boxing license has been put on hold until October 19 of this year. The decision is believed to be a precautionary measure due to injuries Joshua sustained during his fight on September 21.
In contrast, Daniel Dubois, who was Joshua’s opponent, has not been suspended, as he reportedly did not suffer any significant injuries during the bout.
It’s worth noting that following his defeat, many boxing experts and even some promoters have expressed skepticism about Joshua’s future in the sport. Some have gone as far as to suggest that he consider retirement, questioning whether he can continue competing at the highest level.
