British bookmaker Bet365 is the favorite in the race for the status of the first-ever betting sponsor of the Champions League.
According to the publication, apart from Bet365, three other bookmaking companies are also vying for a sponsorship contract with UEFA. However, the application from the British bookmaker is the most preferable.
Currently, there are 9 companies included as sponsors of the UEFA Champions League. According to GlobalData estimates, they bring the Union of European Football Associations $606.3 million. The most significant contracts are considered to be with the beer manufacturer Heineken, the airline Turkish Airlines, and the gaming console manufacturer PlayStation.
Earlier, it was reported that the annual income of the owner of the British bookmaking company Bet365, Denise Coates, amounted to £270 million.
