The owner of Chelsea in London Todd Boehly wants to buy the French club Strasbourg.
According to L’Equipe, the U.S. investors of the English club have held talks with representatives of Strasbourg on the subject of buying 100 percent of the club.
Boehly and his partners are ready to develop Strasbourg, which may provide some Chelsea players as part of a loan agreement.
Strasbourg is in 15th place out of 20 in the current French championship with 21 points in 24 games.
Recall that last year Boehly acquired Chelsea from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich for $5.3 billion. Abramovich has been the owner of Chelsea since 2003.
