The Grand National became a large financial boost for the bookmakers in the United Kingdom according to Entain Group operators.
The Ladbrokes and Coral reported over 12,75 million bets placed within three days of the Grand National festival. It is a significant increase compared to the last reports from 2019. One of the reasons of such a success was the end of the Covid-19 lockdown: bettors got access to sports wagering in retail shops and online after two years of suspensions and pandemic restrictions.
