FIFA postponed the start of the World Cup in Qatar.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will start one day earlier, according to the FIFA website.
The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador will take place on November 20, not 21, as originally planned.
This is the game that will officially open the World Cup, despite the fact that it will be preceded by two more group stage matches: Senegal vs. the Netherlands and England vs. Iran.
The World Cup will last until December 18.
