The Norwegian gambling regulator has announced the departure of several major operators who were operating illegally in Norway, including Betsson, Unibet, Bet365, Betsafe, and others.
These departing companies do not have the appropriate license to operate in Norway.

In recent years, Norway has implemented a series of measures to restrict the activities of illegal operators, including a ban on TV advertising and restrictions on local payment systems that previously facilitated payments for such operators.
In September of last year, authorities warned the owner of Unibet Kindred that he faced fines of €114,000 for each day of continuing operations under the management of the local subsidiary company Trannel. The case against Kindred lasted for over two years, and ultimately, Kindred withdrew from Norway.
