Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi is not sure he wants to continue playing for the Parisian club. It was reported by the publication L’Equipe.
It is reported that the Argentine is in no hurry to renew his contract with PSG, which expires on June 30 and involves the option of extending it for another season.
The footballer is pondering the possibility of moving to another club. One option to continue Messi’s career is called Inter Miami of the U.S. MLS, owned by David Beckham.
Messi, 35, has played for PSG since 2021. In the current French championship, he played 18 games for the Parisians, scoring 10 goals and giving 10 assists.
PSG leads the standings with 54 points in 23 games. The next match will be held on his field against Lille on February 19.
Messi previously received a low rating for the match against Bayern in the Champions League. His game was rated 4 out of 10 by Goal.com. “A duo without influence,” was how the pairing of Messi and Neymar was characterized by the publication.
