Saudi’s Al-Ittihad has dismissed Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo and is in search of a new head coach.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, one of the candidates for the vacant position is fellow countryman Jose Mourinho. It was previously reported that Mourinho might leave AS Roma at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
At the same time, Al-Ittihad is showing interest in Spanish coach Julen Lopetegi, whose last club was Wolverhampton.
Currently, Al-Ittihad is in sixth place in the league table with 21 points from 12 matches.
It should be noted that Al-Ittihad has agreed to pay a penalty of 8 million dollars to Santo for the early termination of his contract.
