The volume of online bets in New York in October reached $2.006 billion, according to the reports of the state’s gaming commission. Thus, New York became the first state in the USA to surpass the $2 billion mark in online bets for a calendar month.
This record is largely associated with the ongoing NFL season. In September, the betting volume in the state was $1.76 billion, in August – $1.11 billion, and in July – $962 million.
The gross gaming revenue (GGR) from online bets in October reached $166.3 million. This result slightly increased compared to the GGR figure of $165.6 million in September.
FanDuel remains the leader in the volume of bets placed in New York for October – $892 million. DraftKings showed the second-largest result last month – $652 million. The third was Caesars, accepting bets totaling $193.2 million.
Overall, since the beginning of the 2023/24 financial year, approximately $10 billion in bets have been made in New York.
