Philip Hrgovic, the mandatory challenger for the IBF title in the heavyweight division, has boldly declared his intentions to conquer Anthony Joshua’s realm following his upcoming bout against Daniel Dubois.
With an impeccable record of 17 wins, including 14 knockouts, Hrgovic exudes confidence as he prepares to face Dubois, who boasts an impressive 20-2 record with 19 knockouts. However, Hrgovic sees this as just another stepping stone towards his ultimate goal of facing Joshua.
“I will defeat Dubois, and then in September, I will come to Wembley to face Joshua. Remember how the Croatian football team came to Wembley and defeated your national team?” remarked Hrgovic, referring to Croatia’s historic 3-2 victory over England in the 2007 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Croatian heavyweight’s bold proclamation not only underscores his confidence but also sets the stage for a potential showdown with two of the division’s biggest names.
