Princess Cruises is set to redefine luxury entertainment at sea with the grand opening of its largest-ever casino aboard the highly anticipated Sun Princess liner, slated for an early 2024 launch. The casino, valued at a staggering $1 billion, promises an opulent gaming experience on the high seas.
Spanning an impressive 2800 square meters, the casino will feature an array of 227 slot machines and 13 live dealer table games, offering guests an indulgent gambling retreat while cruising.
Nestled on the ship’s eighth deck adjacent to the Piazza, the beating heart of Princess Cruises’ vessels, the Princess Casino is poised to become a focal point for onboard entertainment, complementing the glamour and excitement of the cruise experience.
International waters allow the commencement of gaming activities once the cruise liners sail beyond national boundaries. The casinos aboard major cruise ships adhere to regulations set by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), drawing insights from the guidelines established by Nevada’s Gaming Control Board.
The Sun Princess, a 21-deck behemoth boasting a displacement of 175,500 tons and featuring 2150 guest cabins, stretches an impressive length of approximately 350 meters.
Scheduled to set sail in February 2024, the Sun Princess is nearing completion at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, marking a milestone in the evolution of cruise ship opulence and entertainment.
