Sportswear brand Puma could become Barcelona’s technical sponsor instead of Nike, Diario Sport reports.
The Catalan club’s current contract with Nike runs until 2026 with an option to extend it for 2 more seasons.
At the same time, Barcelona has the opportunity to early terminate cooperation with the American company. To do this, it is necessary to warn Nike 2 years before breaking the contract.
According to Diario Sport, Puma is ready to pay “Barça” about € 200 million per season. At the same time at the expense of bonuses, the value of the agreement can reach €300 million.
The value of the current contract of “Barcelona” is estimated at € 115 million, and with bonuses it can exceed € 160 million.
Puma’s agreement with Manchester City is considered to be the largest in soccer. It is reported that the English club receives €167 million per season.
