World champion as part of the German national team, Miroslav Klose, has become the laureate of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) president’s award, as reported on the organization’s official website.

Klose is 45 years old. He became the winner of the World Cup in Brazil (2014). He is also a silver medalist (2002) and a two-time bronze medalist of World Championships (2006, 2010). In the European Championships, the forward won silver (2008) and bronze (2012).

With 16 goals, Klose is the top goal scorer in the history of World Championships. In total, he has scored 71 goals in 137 matches for the German national team. At the club level, he played for German teams such as “Homburg,” “Kaiserslautern,” “Werder,” “Bayern,” and Italian “Lazio.”
