French specialist Zinedine Zidane received an offer from Paris Saint-Germain to replace his compatriot Christophe Galtier as the head coach, who left the club on Tuesday. However, he declined the offer, according to Le Parisien.
It is noted that after this, PSG shifted its focus to negotiations with former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann.
In addition, former Spain national team coach Luis Enrique, as well as Javi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen, remain of interest to PSG.
Earlier, it was reported that the 50-year-old Zidane is interested in working at Juventus, which he considers a priority option for himself. There was also information in the press that Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, for which Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo plays, sees Zidane as the new head coach of the team.
Zidane has only coached Real Madrid during the periods of 2016-2018 and 2019-2021. In his playing career, he represented teams such as Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
