French forward Karim Benzema of “Al-Ittihad” from Saudi Arabia could move to “Paris Saint-Germain” this winter, according to Sports Zone. The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is personally interested in the transfer. He wants to take the 36-year-old Frenchman on loan for six months. This move is likely a response to the behavior of the French star Kylian Mbappe, who is planning to move to Real Madrid.

However, PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, is against Benzema’s transfer.

It’s worth noting that Benzema is dissatisfied with the conditions in Saudi Arabia and wants to leave the club. The reasons for this decision include the hot and humid weather, low attendance at matches, on-field problems, and criticism from fans. In the current season, Karim has played 20 matches in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.

It should be added that since January 2023, former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing for “Al-Nassr” in Saudi Arabia.

Benzema’s contract with “Al-Ittihad” is valid until 2026. The estimated value of the player, according to the Transfermarkt internet portal, is 15 million euros. Benzema won the “Golden Ball” in 2022.
