Mauricio Pochettino is in final negotiations with Chelsea to become the new head coach of the London team.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea, and Pochettino hope to quickly agree on the terms of his appointment, with both sides positively evaluating the direction negotiations took last week.

Pochettino is expected to be allowed to bring along four of his assistants.

Pochettino, 51, has worked in the English Premier League (EPL) before, leading Southampton and Tottenham from 2013-2014 and 2014-2019. His coaching career also included Spain’s Espanyol and France’s Paris Saint-Germain.

It should be recalled that the previous coach of the Blues was the Briton Graham Potter who was dismissed at the beginning of April. The club legend Frank Lampard was temporarily appointed in his place.
