Gambling company 888 Holdings (owns bookmakers 888, William Hill, Mr. Green, and SI Sportsbook) announced the launch of the online gambling brand Mr. Green in Germany.

The company obtained a gaming license in Germany in early 2023 and began launching the platform based on local regulation.

According to Amit Berkowitz, Vice-President of 888, Mr. Green was announced as the company’s flagship brand in the German market, along with their 888 brands.

He stated that its launch was a great example of what focus, collaboration, and dedication can bring. He further mentioned that they had been in operation since the end of March, thanks to 888’s existing platform in Germany and the powerful collaboration of all the teams in the business. This enabled them to create a brand-new setup in record time.

The development comes after the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) this week ordered William Hill Group, which runs Mr. Green and is owned by 888, to pay a record £19.2 million ($23.7 million) for a series of social responsibility and anti-money laundering (AML) violations.

888 Holdings is the parent company of several gambling brands, including William Hill, 888casino, 888sport, 888poker, and Mr. Green. 888 also operates the SI Sportsbook brand in the United States in partnership with Authentic Brands Group.

Earlier, the London Stock Exchange (LSE) removed the gambling company 888 Holdings from the FTSE 250 and 350 indices.
