Alongside most sports, tennis associations released the statements regarding tournaments in Russia. The sanctions from the ATP, WTA, and ITF include cancellation of all tournaments in Russia, and also blocking all Russian and Belarus teams from major international competitions unless they perform under a neutral flag.

The action was actively supported by the Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, who claimed she wanted Russian players to go on with their careers but only if they stay away from the Russian politics.

Besides, the WTA and ATP Boards came up with the range of further decisions related to the WTA/ATP combined event that was supposed to take place in October in Moscow. The ITF temporarily stopped the Russian and Belarus Tennis Federation memberships and excluded all teams from the ITF international competition, including all ITF tournaments scheduled to take place in Russia and Belarus.

Currently, Russian and Belarus players can participate at the Grand Slams and the events on Tour, but only under the neutral.
