The World Boxing Association (WBA) presented updated rankings for all weight categories, including middleweight, in which Kazakhstan’s Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) performs.

Earlier Golovkin gave up the title of “super-champion” of the world, which he was supposed to defend against Cuban Erislandy Lara. As a result, GGG is no longer a champion and is not even in the top 15 of the WBA ranking.

It should be noted that Golovkin also gave up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt.

Earlier it was reported that Golovkin could fight unbeaten Mexican Jaime Munguia (41-0, 33 KOs) and even date was given. However, GGG’s team had no reaction to this insider.

Golovkin last boxed last September, when he lost by a decision to Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) in a trilogy.
