Norwegian Boxing Federation has decided not to participate in world championships and other sports tournaments, organized by the IBA, to which Russian and Belarusian athletes will be allowed. This was reported by the press service of the Norwegian Boxing Association.
It is noted that the boycott of tournaments with the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus affects not only the Norwegian boxers, but also the judges and other officials from Norway.
Recall that the men’s world boxing championship will be held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from May 1 to 14, and women’s competitions will be held in New Delhi (India) from March 15 to 31. Teams of Russia and Belarus will be allowed to both championships with the national symbols.
Earlier it became known about the boycott of the World Championships by the teams of the USA, the Netherlands and Germany.
