Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk has reaffirmed his commitment to stepping into the ring on May 18th, even if Tyson Fury opts out of their much-anticipated bout. Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion, expressed his determination to fight for the title of the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

“I will definitely be fighting on May 18th, and my training will not be in vain,” stated Usyk. “However, I am pleased to see Tyson recovering quickly from his injury and already back in training. I am obliged to fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.”

Usyk emphasized that regardless of his opponent, his goal remains unchanged. “It doesn’t matter who my opponent is. Fate has placed Tyson Fury in my path towards undisputed championship glory. But if Tyson chooses not to fight and decides to vacate his belt, I will gladly fight whoever the WBC selects as the contender.”

The boxing world awaits eagerly for Usyk’s return to the ring, with or without Fury as his adversary. Usyk’s unwavering determination and skill have already cemented his status as one of the most formidable fighters in the heavyweight division
