The amount of prize money in the Australian Open in 2023 will be a record, according to the official website of the tournament.
The total prize fund will be $ 76.5 million. The amount is up 3.4 % from last year.
“It’s important to the development of the tournament that we provide playing opportunities for the athletes and ensure they are properly rewarded,” tournament director Craig Tiley said.
The Australian Open will be held Jan. 16-29, 2023, in Melbourne.
Recall that the current Australian Grand Slam champions already finished their professional careers Ashleigh Barty (Australia) and Rafael Nadal (Spain).
